Apple, Inc.  |  iPad PRoduct Design Intern

  • Designed key module components for functionality, manufacturability, and assembly, working with fellow engineers to ensure system compatibility 
  • Designed flexible and rigid PCBs for product development, collaborating with electrical engineers, layout specialists, and vendors
  • Developed test methods, designed test fixtures, and wrote MATLAB scripts to process images and analyze data to evaluate risks in future products


MMID Integrated Product Design  |  Functionality Design Intern

Summer 2016  |  Delft, The Netherlands

  • Worked as main engineer and designer on a trimming and handling product experienced scuba divers who dive with physically disabled individuals to make their dives safer
  • Developed ways to improve the current structure of a client's large injection molded part with minimal additional parts, using FEA
  • Worked closely with clients to ensure that our engineering solutions met their outlined user needs and the clients’ expectations


MIT Global Engineering and Research Lab  |  Undergraduate Researcher

Summer 2013 to Spring 2015  |  Cambridge, MA

  • Worked with a graduate student towards developing a cost-effective, solar-powered water desalination system for off-grid Indian villages
  • Prototyped a bench-level electrodialysis unit and tested its energy consumption and ion removal rates
  • On a team of four, built and tested a full-scale system at USAID’s Desal Prize in April 2015 and placed first among 68 universities and private companies
  • Conducted user research interviews in multiple regions of India to understand consumers’ interactions with current water purification systems
  • Received BP Women in Research Innovation Award for work on this project in 2014
